Toast Linker Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 27, 2026

This policy applies to Toast Linker, proprietary internal software operated and maintained by MGC Enterprises, LLC, doing business as My Garden Cafe (“My Garden Cafe,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

1. Scope and purpose

Toast Linker is used by authorized personnel to retrieve completed accounting reports from Toast POS, prepare and validate journal entries, and transmit authorized journal entries to QuickBooks Online. The application is not offered to the general public and does not support advertising, behavioral tracking, or data brokerage.

2. Information accessed or processed

Toast location identifiers and completed accounting-report data;

general-ledger account numbers, account names, classes, and journal-entry amounts;

QuickBooks company identifiers and accounting metadata;

OAuth authorization tokens needed to maintain an authorized QuickBooks connection;

application settings, audit records, error logs, and verification records; and

limited business contact information supplied for administration or support.

Toast Linker is not designed to collect payment-card numbers, consumer login credentials, or personal information unrelated to its accounting function.

3. How information is used

authenticate authorized connections to Toast and QuickBooks Online;

download, parse, validate, and archive accounting reports;

create, detect, verify, and audit QuickBooks journal entries;

identify errors, warnings, missing mappings, or duplicate transactions; and

maintain and support the application.

4. Storage and security

Toast reports, journal drafts, audit records, and logs are stored locally on the authorized computer unless an authorized user separately backs them up or moves them. QuickBooks client secrets and OAuth refresh tokens are stored using the operating system's secure credential storage, such as macOS Keychain. Access is limited to authorized personnel.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to an internal accounting application. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

5. Disclosure and third parties

Toast Linker transmits data to Toast and Intuit QuickBooks Online only as needed to provide the authorized accounting workflow. Those services process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell, rent, or disclose Toast or QuickBooks data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated commercial use.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect legal rights, or to service providers acting under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations when necessary to maintain the application.

6. Data retention

The current desktop version does not automatically delete local accounting reports, journal payloads, audit records, or logs. They are retained on the authorized computer until an authorized user deletes them or applies the business's record-retention policy. OAuth credentials remain stored until replaced, revoked, disconnected, or deleted.

7. Deletion and disconnection

An authorized user may request or perform deletion by removing locally stored Toast Linker files, logs, settings, and saved credentials from the authorized computer. QuickBooks access may be revoked through Intuit's connected-app settings. Subject to legal, tax, accounting, backup, and record-retention obligations, data that is no longer needed will be securely deleted.

8. No sale or targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information or QuickBooks data. Toast Linker does not use third-party advertising, cross-context behavioral advertising, or analytics trackers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Toast Linker, its integrations, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
